What is Rio Cibolo Ranch?

We are a 100-acre working Longhorn Cattle Ranch and Pecan Orchard located just 25 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio. Since 1987, we have specialized in providing turnkey catering and entertainment services for any private group function or special event. We have three unique entertainment facilities to choose from when you select Rio Cibolo Ranch as your event venue in San Antonio.

What size and type of events do you handle?

We can accommodate groups from 25 to 10,000 guests depending on the date chosen and type of event. We conduct virtually any kind of private group function or special event. From corporate and convention/tour groups to youth and church groups to weddings and receptions. You name it—we have done it!

What entertainment facilities are available and what are their capacities?

We have three entertainment facilities to choose from. The RCR Corral—up to 5,000 guests and the Lazy Lily River House—up to 200 guests.

Can I do my own catering?

Yes. You can have a professional outside caterer for corporate events, special events, weddings, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. Please note that we need a copy of their license and certificate of insurance.  A 20% Outside Catering fee applies to all Corporate and Special Events. 

Are we allowed to bring in our own entertainment?

We usually book all the entertainment for you; however, you may book some of your own entertainment as long as they comply with the rules and regulations of Rio Cibolo Ranch. Some fees may apply.

Can I provide my own alcoholic beverages?

No. We are licensed by the TABC and have a mixed beverage permit. You may not bring alcohol onto our premises. We are the exclusive provider of alcohol for all of the events conducted at our venue.

Are pets allowed at events conducted at Rio Cibolo Ranch?

No. This is for the safety of the Ranch and our guests.

How do I get a quote and book an event?

Simply complete our quote form online and we will send you packages and pricing for our catering and entertainment services. Then just call or email us with your event details and we will prepare an itemized and customized proposal for your event. All we require is a nonrefundable 10% event deposit to secure your date and book the event. It’s that easy!


Do you provide on-site event coordination?

Absolutely. Our event coordinators work closely with you to ensure that every detail of your event is taken care of and goes as expected. We make it easy on you and handle everything from registration and catering to the entertainment and activities.

How far in advance should I begin planning my picnic or event?

The sooner the better as weekend dates are the most popular. However, we do have three entertainment facilities to choose from so we do have lots of flexibility at our venue. It really is also dependent on what type of event you desire to conduct.

Hopefully this won’t happen, but what if we have to cancel?

We will work with you to find a suitable date, usually within 90 days of your original date.

Does Rio Cibolo Ranch have references?

Yes, we can provide references at your request.
